Leadership
Tal Azulay, P.E.
Principal Structural Engineer
Mr. Azulay is the principal engineer and founder of Elevated Engineering NYC, bringing over a
decade of experience in the design of new building and renovation projects across the NY metro
area. He has personally overseen the design of over a hundred of projects, with concrete, steel,
precast, masonry, light gauge steel, and wood framing structures.
In addition to his hands-on engineering work, Tal has served as an adjunct professor at the City
College of New York's School of Architecture. He is an active member of the Structural
Engineering Association of New York (SEONY) and other professional organizations.
Tal holds a Bachelor's degree from the City College of New York and a Master's of Engineering degree from
The Cooper Union.

Niko Preku, P.E.
Associate
Since joining Elevated Engineering NYC in 2021, Niko has become an integral member of the
team, first as an intern and later as a full-time Project Engineer. In this role, Niko coordinates the
structural design for both new buildings and renovation projects, contributing significantly to the
structural engineering of key developments across Brooklyn, the Bronx, and New Jersey.
Niko holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the City College of New York and a Master of
Science in Structural Engineering from Columbia University. In 2024, Niko earned his
Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Nick Camaj, P.E.
aSSOCIATE
Nick Camaj brings over five years of experience in the structural design of low, mid, and high-rise buildings, as well as large industrial facilities. He has worked extensively with steel, concrete, and wood structural systems and has contributed to the successful delivery of numerous complex projects. Nick has advanced expertise in 3D finite element analysis software, enabling him to develop efficient and innovative structural solutions. In addition to his broad structural design experience, Nick has developed specialized expertise in the analysis and design of slender and high-slenderness-ratio buildings, an increasingly prominent building typology in New York City. His experience includes evaluating complex wind-structure interactions, serviceability requirements, and structural efficiency strategies to address the unique challenges associated with tall, narrow structures. Nick holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Manhattan College and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York.

Daniel Blackburn, P.E.
Project Engineer
Daniel joined Elevated Engineering NYC in 2026 after practicing structural engineering for 5 years in Seattle, Washington. He has extensive experience designing reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, steel, masonry, wood framing, and lateral systems in high seismic zones, including the lateral design for the tallest mass-timber tower in Southern California. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Washington State University. Daniel earned his Professional Engineering (PE) license in 2025.
